Gallspach. “We are a wonderful and now also a large team!” say Managing Director Wolfgang Wacek and Division Manager Manfred Menges from SANOVA Medical Systems. With the latest addition to the team, the company has now officially reached the 100-employee mark – an occasion that was duly celebrated together. “Together” is a central keyword at SANOVA, both in customer relations and in internal collaboration.

Celebrations are celebrated as they fall and so summer parties, Christmas parties and anniversaries alternate with successful project completions. Anyone entering the company building in Gallspach immediately senses that people enjoy working here and that successes large and small are honoured together.

What does SANOVA Medical Systems actually do?

Many people in the Gallspach area are familiar with the company building in Spitzermühlestrasse, which was occupied in 2008, but not everyone knows what services are provided here.
As a partner of renowned manufacturers such as Siemens Healthineers and GE Healthcare, SANOVA Medical Systems distributes pioneering medical technology and offers customised solutions to hospitals, surgeries and institutes. The cooperation with healthcare facilities is designed for the long term, with reliable maintenance and service expertise playing a key role.

Expansion of the ultrasound business

The 100th employee, Marco Autengruber, takes over responsibility for the new ultrasound division. At the same time, SANOVA Medical Systems is also expanding its partnership with Siemens Healthineers and will gradually take over the distribution of the ultrasound range in Austria.
In this way, SANOVA Medical Systems has one of the most modern and innovative product ranges and one of the most renowned manufacturers at its side to successfully enter the ultrasound market.

In Austrian hands – active throughout Europe

SANOVA Medical Systems is part of Herba Chemosan Apotheker-AG, one of Austria’s leading pharmaceutical distribution companies. Its medical technology division, SANOVA Medical Systems, is active beyond Austria’s borders via subsidiaries. Its most important export markets include Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the CIS.

We are delighted to look back on a successful participation in the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2025 in Vienna. Under the motto ‘Planet Radiology’, ECR 2025 provided a great platform for dialogue on the future of radiology with over 20,000 participants from 131 countries.

The SANOVA Medical Systems Division, based in Gallspach, has entered into a partnership with the HTL Grieskirchen, which specialises in medical informatics. This year, for the first time, a 1st class was taken on as a sponsor class. This partnership emphasises Sanova’s commitment to promoting young talent and supporting training in technical professions.

To support the practical training of the students, Sanova has provided the HTL Grieskirchen with a bone densitometer. This state-of-the-art device was installed on site by Sanova technicians, and the school’s specialised staff received comprehensive training. Sanova also provided additional medical equipment, including a contrast medium injector, a video laryngoscope and an ultrasound-assisted system for determining residual urine.

The provision of these medical devices will significantly promote the transfer of knowledge regarding medical equipment technology at HTL Grieskirchen. The students now have the opportunity to work directly with state-of-the-art medical technology and gain valuable practical experience, which makes an important contribution to the quality of their education.

Sanova offers innovative medical technology with professional and customer-orientated services throughout Austria and beyond. ‘We are always on the lookout for young talent, and HTL graduates are already enriching our technology team,’ says Manfred Menges, Head of Medical Systems.

By working closely with educational institutions such as the HTL Grieskirchen, Sanova is investing in the future of medical technology and making an important contribution to training the next generation of specialists.

The European Radiology Congress (ECR), the most important and largest congress for imaging diagnostics in Europe, will take place this year again at the usual date at the beginning of March in Vienna.
